The last thing you do before you leave your house is to don your shoes. Why? Because Bangkok has more potholes per square meter than just about any other city on the planet. Personally, I've found that I need to be careful of strapy styles as they cut my baby toe, and sling backs tend to not stay up, but I was unaware the styles with seams across the toe box can cause rubbing problems.
